HEALTHWISE CHOSEN AS INTELLICARE'S HEALTH INFORMATION
CONTENT PROVIDER

The Healthwise® Knowledgebase will be used as the primary source of IntelliCare’s health information content

(PORTLAND, MAINE) January 10, 2006—IntelliCare, Inc., a provider of healthcare call center and disease management infrastructure services and technology, announces that effective January 10, 2006, the Healthwise Knowledgebase will be the primary source of IntelliCare’s health information content. The Healthwise Knowledgebase is an accredited online resource designed to help people make better decisions regarding their health and health care by providing more than 6,000 topics on health conditions, medical tests and procedures, medications, and everyday health and wellness issues. IntelliCare’s triage and disease management nurses will use the Healthwise Knowledgebase as a resource for health information as they assist individuals telephonically.

The Healthwise Knowledgebase is uniquely motivational to help people actively manage their health. Each topic is created through an unmatched content development process that seeks out the best evidence-based research on every health issue. An in-house team of physicians, nurses, medical writers, and researchers works directly with top medical specialists from key centers of excellence to fine-tune the accuracy and currency of each topic.

“We are very excited to partner with Healthwise to provide our nurses with the absolute best resource for health information,” says Lisa Monteleone, VP of Clinical Operations at IntelliCare. “Every topic is based on the most up-to-date medical research available and we are confident that this service will assist our nurses in providing our callers with the best possible care.”

“Healthwise shares IntelliCare’s view that information is a critical part of care,” said Healthwise President and COO Gene Drabinski. “We are completely dedicated to creating information that accurately informs and supportively empowers people to better manage their health.”

In addition to providing IntelliCare’s nurses with a comprehensive health resource, Healthwise will also become the content provider for IntelliCare’s Audio Health Library. IntelliCare’s Audio Health Library provides callers direct, 24 x 7 access to over 300 pre-recorded messages on health care topics ranging from the common cold to heart disease.
